Always keen to test the very latest in bluetooth speakers,
we were a little surprised to find... a pair! Yes, that's right, the latest
offering from Edifier are an actual pair of speakers and not a single unit like
all other Bluetooth-fed sound-givers seem to be these days. Impressed and
intrigued, we cranked up the volume.

REVIEW: Garmin Virb Elite Action Cam
When you desperately need to stick a camera on yourself or
your vehicle while doing something exciting, all too often the first name to
mind is GoPro. But, after playing around it with it for a while now, we're
firmly in the Garmin camp thanks to their Virb Elite Action Cam.

REVIEW: Revell Star Wars EasyKit Models
For one of our Christmas Stocking Filler features last year
we reviewed Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter model kit from Revell. We were so
impressed by that kit that we couldn't say no when Revell offered to crowd our
doormat with a bunch of other Star Wars models from their EasyKit range. A
perfect review for the run-up to Star Wars Day (May the fourth (be with you)),
and without a dab of paint in sight, we got building.

REVIEW: ActiPatch Knee Pain Relief
Not a patch on this...
This review comes after probably the longest testing period
we've ever done. Two months ago one of our number fell off his bike and injured
his knee (apparently he got distracted by a rainbow that was "just too beautiful,
man"). Fortunately this coincided with an email from a lovely PR asking if
we wanted to try one of ActiPatch's new knee pain relief gizmos, and so we
assume that the lucky fluke was the universe's way of saying sorry for being so
beautiful.

REVIEW: Chromecast
Castaway
After months of enviously watching our colonial friends
play, we in the United Kingdom have finally gotten our hands on the gadget that
has been making waves since last year; the Google Chromecast. No strangers to
internet streaming, we were keen to see how the plucky little dongle would fit
into our arsenal of tech, so we blew the dust from a spare HDMI port on our TV
and rammed it in.

COMPETITION: Win Bubble Buster Kazoo Game!
For this month's give-away of a game from Drumond Park, we're
offering one lucky reader the chance to win a copy of the Bubble Buster Kazoo
Game. But before we get to the competition, lets rip open the box, take a deep
breath, and prepare to get bubble busting.

REVIEW: Lightwave RF Home Automation
Home is where the automated heart is.
These days home automation isn't just reserved for the likes
of Tony Stark, as basic control over some of your house's functions is as easy
as opening a smartphone app. Whereas last year we took a look at Philip's Hue lighting system, this time we were interested in trying a product that gave the
user even more control options. We found it in the Lightwave RF Home Automation
range.

VIDEO REVIEW: LEGO Star Wars Droid Gunship
This is the droid you're looking for
We love drones here at The Test Pit, regardless of whether they use wheels, wings or propellers. But even we have to admit that one day drones will become self-aware and kill us all. And they'll probably look like this. Once again we tear open the box, rip open the little plastic bags and get building on one of the latest LEGO Star Wars sets, the Droid Gunship #75042. Sit back, press play and be thankful that all the flying robots have to shoot these days are little plastic darts.

REVIEW: TP-Link 3G Mobile WiFi
Hi, WiFi
"Excuse me, but do you have free WiFi here?"
That's a question we've all asked at some point, especially those of us that
need a high speed internet connection even while at a funeral. But the vicar
giving your grandfather's eulogy will never have to be bothered again, because
you'll already have your own personal WiFi hotspot thanks to the TP-Link 3G
Mobile WiFi.

FEATURE: The Manper Session #3
A close shave.
In previous Manper Sessions (a male pampering session) we've merely hinted at all the great kit out there to help a chap keep his face as fresh as a ten minute old daisy... until now. Delving into the depth of the internet (its quite useful once you get past all that porn) we have sourced three new pieces of cleverness which will soon be part of your morning shaving routine.
An eight day beard might be considered the most attractive form of facial hair for a man to carry, but to those people we merely scoff. Poor unshaven sods... they're missing out on so many cool things.

FEATURE: Male Compression Vests
Spanx a lot
Let's be honest here chaps; some of us aren't as trim as we
may once have been, or wish to be. This can lead to occasional sad feelings,
particularly when encountering an ex partner who seems to be as thin and as
gorgeous as they were at 18. Damn them to hell.
Say, for example, you have a wedding to go to, one you know
will be attended by old flames and friends you want to impress. Do you go the
gym solidly for a month before the big day? Nah, you pop a compression vest on
under your suit, thereby trimming your growing beer belly by a few inches and
maintaining your reputation as The One Who Never Seems To Put On Any Weight.
But which compression vest to buy? We take a look at a
couple...

VIDEO REVIEW: Hubsan SpyHawk FPV RC Plane
Come fly with me...
Ever ones to go nuts when radio control is mentioned, we salivated for days over the prospect of getting to fly Hubsan's signature RC aeroplane, the SpyHawk FPV.
Whereas before in our RC adventures we've been limited to stand and gawk up at the sky as we attempt to keep a helicopter from crashing into the neighbour's greenhouse again (true story), this time we're seeing it from an altogether different point of view. And so, sit back, hold on to your lunch, and join us in the skies.

REVIEW: HMDX Jam Party Bluetooth Speaker
As our Jam Splash review taught us, HMDX make some killer waterproof
bluetooth speakers. If only there was a way to keep the party going after we've
stepped out of the shower. Fortunately shower music isn't the only thing HMDX
are good at; this we learnt when testing the Jam Party Bluetooth Boombox.
So towel yourself off, grab some friends, and we'll see you
for the best living room disco you've ever had. Lucky people.
