They either follow the instructions, or go 'off book' to build their own space vehicle, carefully matching up the symbols on the parts to complete a circuit. When they do, the rocket will light up. Simple as. Once done, kids can essentially do as they please with a rugged and customisable play set, but the principle of the circuit will have been learnt. Nicely done. Fun, educational and very versatile.
