REVIEW: LEGO Star Wars Planets Series 3

May the 4th be with you

We've donned our best Jedi robes, taken our finest lightsabers out of storage and in strange grammar started speaking have we... all to celebrate Star Wars Day on 4th May.

As we've previously made clear, the only thing that makes that galaxy far far away even better is when its built out of LEGO. And that is why we were extremely (and geekily) excited to test Series 3 of the LEGO Star Wars Planets range.

REVIEW: Colgate Omron ProClinical A1500 Toothbrush

Oral history

To be a true gadget obsessive one must fully embrace technology into all aspects of one's life. Being at the cutting edge isn't just about flashing your tablet on the train or letting the old ladies you pass by in the morning know just how big your headphones are. No, you need top of the range tech while stripped to your pants first thing in the morning.

{Please note: this not a sex toy review. Well...}

We've always been big on oral hygiene and our morning routine of brushing and flossing is adhered to rigorously each day. Its just such a shame that the time is spent away from our precious gadgets as, and we urge you to remember this, tech and water tend not to be friends. Unless its a submarine, then its okay. But now our bathroom time has been technologically enhanced by the Colgate Omron ProClinical A1500 Electric Toothbrush. Yay!

REVIEW: Pabobo Super Nomade USB Night Light

Partner in shine

Okay, chill out gadget freaks, because this review is for something that you won't necessarily be able to whip out in the pub to impress your mates. Your kids on the other hand...

You see, we at The Test Pit have something of a confession to make: we're family guys. Yes we know we act like Jack the Lad with our cheeky altitudes toward consumer technology, but the truth is that at the end of the day we return to the loving embrace of our families. And now we can see them a lot better. That's because we bought the Pabobo Super Nomade Night Light.

REVIEW: Blue Tiki USB Microphone

Tiki look at this

Everybody has a podcast these days. If you are so compelled you can tune into and download a range of programmes from DIY advice, pet care, sci-fi theories and high altitude knitting. If you’ve got something you’re passionate about the chances are there will be someone out there that shares your interest and will subscribe. But if you want to stand out from the crowd with a high quality recording, while chatting to your neighbour about extreme knitting, you really ought to use the Tiki USB microphone from Blue.

REVIEW: LEGO Hobbit 'Attack of the Wargs'

Warg? What is it good for?

There was a thudding at our door. We were prepared for an exciting, and unexpected, adventure to foreign lands; for battling monsters and evading dragons. But instead of an ageing wizard and a band of dwarves at the door, it was merely the postman. Still, he did bring us treasure and glory, albeit in the form of the latest LEGO Hobbit set.

Which, to be honest, we'd prefer.

REVIEW: Roku 2 XS

 School of Roku

The internet: a wondrous playground of fabulous entertainment and follies. These days there is a hell of a lot of content on that there net, to be viewed and enjoyed to your heart’s content. Trouble is, no matter how ‘hi-def’ things get on the web, you’re still usually stuck having to watch it on your laptop or tablet’s small screen, leaving your super cool flat screen TV sitting lonely in the corner of the living room. Why can’t you get all the pleasures of the internet on the big screen?

Well, obviously, now you can. Yay!

REVIEW: iLuv MobiTour Bluetooth Speaker

Tour blimey.

As summer fast approaches, finally banishing the icy tendrils of Jack Frost and all his annoying, lingering, snowy mates, your thoughts may turn toward the outdoors. For us, the epitome of the British summer has always been lounging around in a park with friends, Marks & Spencer sandwiches on hand and brolly close-by just in case. And music. Ah, summer music; that which defines the season and makes you utter, months later, “Oh, this reminds me of last summer…” But how to listen to those memorable, scene setting songs?

Easy, get the iLuv MobiTour Bluetooth Speaker.

Easy like Sunday morning.

Is it that far corner of the attic? Maybe the spare bedroom? What about the bathroom – ever had trouble there?
