We've reported on several hover bikes currently in development, but those were all future concept devices. The Kitty Hawk Flyer, a hover bike which looks like a giant drone, is available for order right now, with shipments starting by the end of the year. However, there is one issue...
The Kitty Hawk website states that the flyer is, remarkably, fully legal and can be flown in non-congested areas in the US. However, those areas have to be over water, and the vehicle is not intended to be used over land. Hence the big pontoons on the underside of it, and this cringe-worthy lake-based video:
It does look fun, doesn't it? And look, if you fly a Kitty Hawk Flyer your friends will toast you at the end and everything will be so good and happy. YOU NEED THIS! Anyway, if you want to order one, you first have to become a member. This costs $200 (!) but you do get $2000 off the first order of the, as yet un-priced, Flyer, and also some Kitty Hawk branded swag.
