The latest robot from Ghost Robotics might not have the sheer wow (and scare) factor we've come to expect from Boston Dynamics, but the Minitaur is a go-everywhere all-terrain robot that can crawl, climb and jump.
The unique thing about the Minitaur is how versatile it is, being able to move backwards and completely reversed, so no matter how it falls or lands, it can still right itself and keep moving. So although it might not be as creepy as Atlas, it seems that Ghost Robotics have created the dog-like pawns of the forthcoming robot uprising. Imagine these things swarming all over buildings to get at the useless meatbag humans inside. Yay.
