Forget self-piloting flying taxis, what we really want from the near future is a hoverbike. Come on; what is the most fun thing you can imagine that doesn't involve taking your pants off? That's right, your own personal hovering bike. Hoversurf, a Russian tech company, has finally managed just that. And in typical Russian style, the thing looks seriously dangerous.
The so-called Scorpion-3 has been designed as an extreme sports craft, but the potential for development into the personal transport sector is obvious. Right now, however, those four huge props look dangerously close to the pilot's legs, and any crash or collision could result in loss of limb. Which is basically what Russian R&D is all about. But still... how awesome is it?
