Look to the skies.
Well, that's it... drone deliveries are now a thing. Although it's been about three years since Amazon announced they were planning to deliver goods via UAV, it has only now become a reality, but here in the UK, not in the company's home turf of the USA.
According to Amazon, a drop-off by drone was made to a customer in Cambridgeshire, delivering their purchases within thirty minutes of them placing the order. But before you all leap to bag a few last-minute Christmas gifts and watch them land on your lawn half an hour later, currently the Amazon Air service is only available to two businesses in Cambridgeshire, near to a drone take-off point, we assume.
Still, that will soon change, and Amazon will no doubt cash in on the UK's relaxed drone laws - relaxed compared to the restrictively tight rules in the US. So seriously... look to the skies!
