COMPETITION: Win Pig Goes Pop!

This little piggy...

In the first our give-away of goodies from game maker DrumondPark, we're offering one lucky reader the chance to win a copy of Pig Goes Pop. But before we get to that, we tore open the box, made sure Mr Piggy himself was hungry, and got playing.

Pig Goes Pop is a crazy little game that put us in mind of classic games like Buckaroo and Pop-Up Pirate. The set consists of a die, some tasty looking burger pieces, and of course the pig himself. To play you have to roll the colour-sided die, pick up a burger of that colour and pop it into piggy's mouth. Whatever number was printed on the underside of the burger dictates the number of pushes you have to give the pig's head - which in turn inflates his fat tummy. Too much pressure and the pig's coat will burst open and you'll lose.

We had great fun playing Pig Goes Pop and loved that it took no time at all to set up. The rules are about as simple as we mentioned above meaning it was a quick learn even for the youngest of players. Pumping down on the pig's head is a very satisfying action and just like the aforementioned classic games, is quite tense. Although you might expect the pig's coat to burst open every time you get a high-numbered burger, we were often surprised by how temperamental it was, making for quite an exciting game.
