It's already 2014 and we still don't have Hoverboards, flying cars or giant 3D sharks that leap at us from the front of cinemas - we're starting to believe that the documentary Back to the Future 2 wasn't very accurate.
But lo and behold, it's finally happening! We're getting a little slice of what was promised us in the future, all thanks to Nike. According to Nike shoe designer Tinker Hatfield, by 2015 (the year in which the film was set) humanity will be able to enjoy power assisted laces, just like the ones that impressed our dear time travelling friend, Marty:
Questioned at the Jordan Brand's Flight Lab, Hatfield was reported as saying, "Are we gonna see power laces in 2015? To that, I say yes!"
This is great news for those of us that grew up watching the Back to the Future films - all we need now is that damn Hoverboard! Come on Mattel, give us the goods...
