REVIEW: Poly Voyager 4320 UC Headset

When we first started looking for a new headset for our work setup, the Poly Voyager 4320 UC caught our attention. We spend a lot of time juggling calls, video meetings, and the occasional music break throughout the day, so we wanted something wireless, comfortable, and versatile. After a few weeks of using it, we feel we’ve gotten a good sense of where this headset shines and where it leaves us wanting a little more.

The first thing we noticed when unboxing the Voyager 4320 UC was how lightweight it felt. At under 200 grams, it’s noticeably easier on the head than some bulkier office headsets we’ve tried. We can wear it for long stretches without the sore spots that heavier designs tend to cause. The ear cushions are soft and reasonably breathable, though after a full workday we do find ourselves taking them off for a short break. The adjustable headband also helps get a secure fit without feeling tight, which is a plus during back-to-back calls.

In terms of audio quality, the headset delivers solid performance. Voices on calls come through crisp and clear, and colleagues on the other end tell us the dual-mic noise canceling does a good job of cutting out background chatter. We tested it with some music too, and while it’s not audiophile-grade, it handles a Spotify playlist or YouTube video with more balance than we expected from a business headset. The bass is present but not booming, which is fine for casual listening.

Battery life is one of the biggest selling points here. Poly advertises up to 24 hours of talk time, and in our testing, we easily got through multiple days of regular use before needing to recharge. The USB-C charging is quick and modern, which we appreciate—no fiddling with older connectors. We also like that it comes with a neat desk stand option (depending on the package) that keeps it charged and out of the way.

Connectivity has been mostly smooth. The included BT700 USB dongle makes pairing with our laptop seamless, and switching over to our phone is straightforward with Bluetooth multipoint. That said, we’ve had the occasional hiccup where the headset didn’t automatically reconnect to our computer after a restart, and we had to manually reselect it in settings. Not a dealbreaker, but a small annoyance.

Where we think the Voyager 4320 UC could improve is in noise isolation. While the mic does a good job of filtering out background noise for people listening to us, the headset itself is only moderately effective at blocking out our environment. If we’re in a noisy cafĂ© or near an open window, we still hear quite a bit of what’s going on around us. For strictly office or home use, it’s fine, but travelers might want something with stronger passive or active noise cancellation.

Overall, we’d say the Poly Voyager 4320 UC strikes a strong balance between comfort, functionality, and value. It’s not the flashiest or most feature-rich headset out there, but it delivers reliably where it counts: clear calls, long battery life, and all-day comfort. If you spend most of your time in virtual meetings and just want a dependable, no-fuss headset, this one is easy to recommend.
