Think of a decent gadget drop test, and you might imagine someone dropping their phone from head height to assess the damaged caused. However, for the ultimate test of technology survival, you have to get a little higher... 1000 feet, in fact. That is just what unlockriver.com did with a Nintendo Switch, and the results were surprising.
Despite falling from a drone at 1000 feet, the Nintendo Switch seemed to survive, turning back on after the impact. It looks as if the left Joy-Con saved the device itself, and without the detachable controllers on either side we're pretty sure the whole thing would've simply exploded. Still, kudos to Nintendo for making a pretty tough console.
