If you though that smartwatches were far too new an invention to already require a complete overhaul of design, you were wrong. If you own one and use it every day you'll know that having a fixed screen on your wrist isn't always as convenient as it might seem. However, this video released by HCI Research at Dartmouth University reveals that things could soon get... interesting.
Pretty cool, eh? Using an Arduino Due the researchers and scientists have successfully created the prototype of a smartwacth that can move; it slides out of your cuffs, it rotates with your head, and it stands up to make seeing the screen easier. Obviously this is still years away from a consumer device, but it is fascinating to see how bizarre and, ultimately, more convenient smartwatches could become.
