NEWS: Airbus working on a flying car

Beats taking the bus.

Speaking at a conference in Munich, Chief Executive of Airbus, Tom Enders, revealed plans that the aerospace company would be testing a flying car concept by the end of the year. This comes just months after Airbus formed the Urban Air Mobility division, designed to investigate ways of easing congestion in cities.

Apparently, if the tests go well there could be an Airbus flying car service working in some major cities by 2021, with users booking the short flights with a smartphone app similar to Uber. This means that Airbus joins Google, Chinese company E-Hang, and also Uber itself in the race to dominate the skies above our cities. Here's watching.
