Christmas is normally a time to relax, chill out, sit back, and let the world (and several helpings of turkey) wash over you. However, this year's festive season might take a different more exciting track if you win our latest competition to snag a a Kitvision Escape HD5W Action Cam. It's definitely the one Santa has mounted on his sleigh...

The Kitvision Escape HD5W Action Cam is a rugged little cam that can be mounted on just about anything... even in the water thanks to the included waterproof case. The headlines here are that it can record in full HD 1080p at 30 frames per second and features an impressive 170 degree wide lens. The 1.5” TFT screen on the back can also be removed to make the camera even lighter and smaller; perfect for when weight is a key issue (drones!).

Included in the box is the aforementioned waterproof case, good for depths of up to 100 metres (so fine for a paddling pool we assume). There is also a bicycle mount, two adhesive mounts for your helmet or board, a 90 degree mount adaptor, as well as some mount clips to make sure you get a secure hold at any angle. The rechargeable battery will give you about 90 minutes of recording time (although we found it lasted a good deal longer than that in use), and it can support Micro SD cards of up to 32GB.

Photo mode is also pretty decent on this thing, capturing stills with 12 megapixels, and there is also a built-in G-sensor and WiFi to connect with your phone or tablet. This we found particularly useful to line up shots and correct mount angels when the cam was attached to a helmet or drone, and its also bloody useful to transfer the footage from the cam's SD card (not included) to your device. This is an excellent action cam that Kitvision have bundled together with some really useful accessories.
