Sure, you can use your smartphone for all manner of great things these days, from flying helicopters to streaming TV. But do you ever do anything actually helpful with it? You could be doing, if you win our latest competition to snag a Wishbone Smart Thermometer.

We reviewed the Wishbone back in August, and we were very impressed then. Go read the review to find out more, but in a nutshell this little gadget can attach to your phone and then give detailed read-outs of temperature. This is super handy if you're a parent with a small baby or child, as you can track their temperature when they're feeling poorly to keep a better eye on them.

You could also use it to test the temperature of the room your baby is sleeping in, as well as how hot food and drink is... all from something that can fit on a key-chain.
