Ey-ee! Giant lady!
If you are anything like us, you've gleaned a little too much pleasure from the thought of stomping about a city like a giant, crushing cars and buildings with your huge feet. Well, thanks to the wonder of virtual reality, you now can.
City VR is a programme for the HTC Vive which allows users to feel what it would be like to stomp around San Francisco as a Godzilla-like giant. The images of the city have been produced by satellite photos and drone footage, with a huge amount of amount ploughed into them. You can't actually smash things to bits, like tearing the Golden Gate Bridge down with your bare hands (oh, come on!), but you can wander about like a bemused science experiment gone wrong.
Although limited to both the Vive and the San Francisco map, creator Amber Garage says she is planning to expand the experience to other US cities like New York. So you can soon pretend to be the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters.
