NEWS: Sega Mega Drive to reenter production

Mega Driving up sales.

If you had one during the nineties, you'll know just how awesome the original Sega Mega Drive (or Genesis, if you're a weird American) was. However, while the rest of the world upgraded and upgraded to faster and more powerful consoles, if seems Brazil is still a big fan of the 16 Bit machine; so much so that one company has started to remake the Mega Drive.

Interestingly, Sega Mega Drives continue to rack up sales in the South American country, matching the number of PS4s sold there last year. That is why Brazilian company Tec Toy will be re-releasing the Mega Drive, licensed from Sega, in it's original form. The console will work exactly like the original, without modern upgrades like HDMI. In fact the only indication that this is not the 1989 classic, will be the 22 games that come presinstalled. These include legendary classics such as Altered Beast, Alex Kidd, Sonic 3, and Sega Soccer to name but a few.
