NEWS: Samsung place apology ad

Sam-soz.

Samsung have had a tough time over the past few months, what with their brand new, top of the line, flagship phone EXPLODING AND MELTING PEOPLE'S FACES! The Note 7 problem has now largely been solved, with 85% of US handsets now back in Samsung's possession, and with the customers refunded. However, it seems a refund wasn't enough to quell Samsung's guilt, as they recently took out full page ads in the New York Times, Washington Post, and Wall Street Journal.

Here it is (click on the image to enlarge):

We suppose you have to hand it to Samsung for that, at least. Other companies wouldn't have been so up front about their error, and we're quite sure Apple would've somehow spun a similar situation around to blame their component suppliers. But not Samsung. Well, not Samsung US, that is, and this letter comes signed by the CEO of Samsung Electronics North America Gregory Lee.

Is it enough? Are you a Samsung customer who has been swayed away from the Korean firm as a result? Sales of their next top phone will tell.
