NEWS: Can this gadget control your dreams?

Dream on.

If you've ever experienced lucid dreaming - where you can actively choose what occurs in your dreams - you'll know what a strange and exiting feeling it is. Although there are many practised techniques which help dreamers enter lucid states, one company is saying that they've created a gadget to do all the hard work for you.

The LucidCatcher from Luciding is a wearable gadget that you wrap around your head before falling asleep. When you enter REM sleep, the stage at which most dreams are triggered, the LucidCatcher sends electrical currents directly into the brain's prefrontal cortex; the part which deals with self-awareness. This causes the wearer to be more aware of their dreams and 'wake up' while still dreaming. Cue flying through space, and sex with your favourite celebrity.

This is what the Luciding website says, anyway (except the bit about sex... but come on), and most of the "customer testimonials" sound a little forced. Anyway, if this is something that you've... ahem... dreamt about doing, visit https://luciding.com
