We've teamed up once again with our good chums at Drumond Park to offer one lucky person the chance to win the newly refreshed Articulate
for Kids board game. But before we get to the competition lets open the box,
get into a descriptive mood, and prepare to articulate.
For those unfamiliar with the concept, Articulate is all
about describing a certain word without resorting to the classic “rhymes
with...” or “sounds like...” methods. The six categories of Object, Nature,
Action, World, Person and Random mean there are literally thousands of
different things to describe, with your teammates desperately trying to make
sense of your garbled and rushed attempts within the 30 second time limit. The
more words they guess correctly, the further along the board you progress.
This latest kids version simply makes the words, places,
concepts and people's names that little bit easier, allowing children as young
as six and as old as 12 to join in. We loved that Drumond
Park have made Articulate for Kids completely compatible with the adult
version, while still being a full game in itself. Now a crazy fun game of
Articulate can be tailored to the age of the players, making mixed aged teams a
lot fairer and broadening the scope for family fun.
That said, just because the cards included in the kids
version were definitely aimed at a younger audience, we still found playing it
quite challenging (and we're grown-ups... sort of) so this should keep the wee
sprogs engaged for hours at a time.
