REVIEW: Buffalo MiniStation Air

Little black box

External hard drives are, for people like us who prefer their information to take the form of 1s and 0s, an absolute necessity. The truth of the matter is that although our laptops, mobiles and tablets may have increasing sized storage capabilities we'll always need yet more space to store our digital lives.

But what a faff eh? Wires, power leads, making sure you eject the drive before removing the USB cable (or a kitten dies somewhere) - isn't there a better way to save and access all that really important stuff? Yep, there is.

REVIEW: STM Nomad Laptop Bag

It's in the bag

As you all are devoted readers of this humble site, we are positive that after flicking through our eloquent reviews you go straight out and buy whatever it was we were going on about.

But how to carry all that amazing tech around? Sure, you could sling it all in a plastic carrier bag and just trust it to Stinky Steve, the local homeless fellow, and hope he meets you whenever you need your laptop or Kobo. Or you could wake up to yourself and buy a proper gadget bag. This one is pretty neat.

REVIEW: Panasonic Portable Power Pack

Perfect pocket pal for providing plenty of power

Anyone else need a pee? No, just us? Okay. Well, we've previously reviewed a portable USB power pack - the tidily one from Proporta. But this meaty offering comes straight from electronics giant Panasonic, and by crikey does it pack a powerful portable punch (we'll stop with the Ps now).

REVIEW: LEGO Man of Steel: Battle of Smallville (#76003)

He wears his pants on the inside now

When we've review LEGO sets in the past it has always been in conjunction with a film or TV show we have seen. There weren't any surprises that way. That's why we were super excited (which is three higher than just normal excited) to get our hands on LEGO set number 76003.

You have to be living under a rock not to know that this month sees the release of Zack '300' Snyder's foray into the world of Superman with Man of Steel. Apart from reading some rumours about the plot, and seeing press shots of Supe's new pants-less outfit, we know nothing about what to expect from the movie. Until now.

REVIEW: Games round-up

Cubes, spinning and lasers!

Enjoy the summer? Who knows, those three sunny days we had last week could be all the summer we get this year in dear old blighty. Just in case it is, and we're all in for a summer indoors sheltering from the rain, we took a look at some hot new games to keep you entertained at home until September.

REVIEW: Breffo and Proporta Camera Kits

Spiderman would own both of these

In the future we won't have hands. Imagine a future human; happy, smiling, loaded up with technology and completely arm-less. This odd evolutionary quirk has developed because of all the hands-free equipment that is available in the present. After all, who needs hands if everything... just works?

Kicking off us down that strange slope of evolution are the British gadget gurus of Breffo and Proporta, two design and innovation companies who are about to make our attempts at photography that little bit more interesting.

REVIEW: Gigaset SL910A Touchscreen Home Phone

Why should mobile phones have all the fun?

Everything has a touchscreen these days. It's gotten to the point where the sight of an actual button on a piece of tech is a bit like seeing a desktop computer with one of those old cathode ray monitors. Buttons are part of the reason that home landline phones seem dated and behind the times, as we've become accustomed to jabbing away at smooth glass screens, not chiming touch-tone phones. Enter the Gigaset SL910A Touchscreen Home Phone.
